QP Open

The 25th QP Open is to be held on 15-16th June, 2019.
It will be the 5th event of the European Tour

2014 was a great year for Disc Golf at Quarry Park and for the sport in general, in the UK and around the world. 2015 will be even better. I am hoping that we will finally get the go-ahead to replace the current buildings with a proper clubhouse. The planning application was withdrawn in December in order to make revisions, but will be resubmitted in January.
The 2015 Quarry Park Open will be held on 3-4th October, and we will also look to host a couple of one-day tournaments. The British Disc Golf Association calendar and event invites can be found

It was a beautiful warm weekend for the 20th Quarry Park Open on 20-21st September. 76 players came from far and wide, making this the biggest BDGA Tour event ever.. All 4 rounds were played on the challenging "Black Course" layout. The Open division was hotly contested, tournament director Neil Webber got off to a flying start with a 55 in the morning round, but was overhauled by Si Luard and Derek Robins who both shot 54 in the afternoon. On Sunday morning, Derek and Simon had lacklustre rounds allowing reigning QP and BDGA Tour champion Dan Ryan edged his way back into contention.

In general the answer to this question is "No", during the advertised opening hours, groups of 10 or less can just turn up, pay, and play. If you are bringing a group of more than 10, then it's useful to let us know, just in case several larger groups all plan on arriving around the same time. We can then seek to manage arrival times to facilitate the flow.

We now have a phone dedicated for course usage. We, the staff,  just have to get used to putting it in our pocket when we open up, and leaving it on the counter when we leave. The number is 07939 657635.
Now that there's more daylight in the evenings, we have started opening from 6pm on Wednesdays. This will be a regular "clubnight" and we will do a bit of coaching and play a round - it's open to anyone, you don't have to be a club member. You can also play the course with your friends on the usual basis. Either way, the normal fees apply.
From the end of April, or possibly earlier, we will be opening every weekday evening from 6pm.
*** NEWS FLASH ***
Liam is working this week so the course will be open from 2pm until sunset  15-17th April. Then 10am until 6pm April Friday 18th to Monday 21st
*** END NEWS FLASH ***

We have the Easter and May bank holidays coming up, and we will be open from 10:00 until 18:00 on those days.
The course is still wet in places, so walking boots are best. You can always skip the wet holes and play some others twice instead. Holes 1, 5, and 12 are the worst affected.

Welcome

Welcome to the home page for the Quarry Park Disc Golf Course. Situated on Old Milverton Lane on the edge of Leamington Spa, this is a unique facility in Britain, in that the land was purchased and landscaped specifically for disc golf.

Disc Golf is a great sport or activity for all ages and abilities, and QP has been meticulously designed to be fair to beginners and challenging to pros. We welcome everyone from family groups and tourists looking for a fun frisbee activity, to professional level players from abroad. Disc golf is great for group outings too - we have had stag parties, sports clubs, scout groups, office outings, church groups, round table etc.....

What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf is a lot of fun and is similar in concept to traditional ball golf. The object is to get a frisbee disc into a basket in as few shots as possible.
