2015 A Great Year Ahead!

2014 was a great year for Disc Golf at Quarry Park and for the sport in general, in the UK and around the world. 2015 will be even better. I am hoping that we will finally get the go-ahead to replace the current buildings with a proper clubhouse. The planning application was withdrawn in December in order to make revisions, but will be resubmitted in January.
The 2015 Quarry Park  Open will be held on 3-4th October, and we will also look to host a couple of one-day tournaments. The British Disc Golf Association calendar and event invites can be found on the forum and there is a schedule of all UK club meetings and tournaments on the BDGA website. For those thinking further afield there is European PDGA website. Closer to home there is a regular gathering on Saturday mornings at 10:00 for an informal handicap round, anyone can attend and it's a great chance to meet other disc golfers and learn from them - or maybe they will learn from you! This meeting may not take place if there is a BDGA tournament that weekend or if the weather is very poor, but you can post to the facebook group to see who is planning to play.
