Polish
Visit
On February 18th
we had a visit by 17 Rural Development delegates from Poland. They
were keen to hear about disc golf and Quarry Park. They are considering
installing a course in Poland.
Robins
Wins 13th Quarry Park Open
Course pro, Derek Robins, came
out on top in a field of 48 players from around the UK, plus 3 from
Sweden. 13th QP Open and draft results
in Excel format are here.
Charity
Total
Despite horrible
weather, the disc golfers of Quarry Park, and friends, raised an
amazing £479.06 for Myton Hamlet Hospice. Thanks to everybody who
helped play a part. This amount was doubled thanks to Legal and
Generals's matching sponsorship.
Tournament Wins
Quarry Park regular, Frank Redmond,
shot some of his best golf to win the Amateur title. Meanwhile in
the Open division Bruce Webber (London) birdied the final hole to
snatch victory from QP Pro, Derek Robins. The Spring Fling tournament
at Quarry Park was the 3rd event on the BDGA National Tour. Results
posted here. See the video
on youtube, and don't miss this
comedy moment

and was very impressed with the sport and with Quarry Park. Thanks to the many players who came to help with filming.
