PDGA World Championships

The PDGA World Championships took place in Kansas City at the weekend. This is the biggest event on the disc golf calendar, with nearly 1000 players taking part in total. There were separate divisions for amateurs and professionals and also for different age and gender groups. The youngest category is Under 10, and the oldest is for those aged 70 and over! Competitor ages ranged from 7 to 82!

The big news was a Jenkins double: Avery Jenkins won the Pro Open division after a sudden death play-off with Josh Anthon; and sister Valarie won the Pro Women's division ahead of Des Reading. Visit www.pdga.com and follow links for more details.
