Tournament Director - Duncan
Hartshorne
PDGA rules require a non-playing TD and Duncan kindly volunteered.
He has been responding to your registrations and messages, helping
to plan the event, and will be the main man over the weekend. Duncan
has been playing for 8 years and is a regular at Quarry Park since
he moved to the area 2 years ago. He is also Secretary of the British
DGA.
Tournament
Host - Derek Robins
Main man behind the tournament organisation, as well as owning,
managing and working on the course. Specific tournament responsibilities
include planning, web pages, sponsor relations, trophies and finances.
Del has been playing disc golf for 30 years.
He has won Open Division EuroTour titles in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland,
and the Netherlands. He is the reigning British Tour Champion, and
in 1979 he won the first British Open. In 2004 he was the first
European player to be inducted to the Disc Golf Hall of Fame.
Art Director - Martin Smith
Martin produced the tournament logo, fundraiser
disc design, player-pack disc design, poster design, T-shirt design.
He has also been a general star in supporting the course and event
wherever possible. Martin took up the sport after attending a charity
event at Quarry Park two years ago.
Catering
and Course Directors
Sue and Ivan have been the most steadfast supporters of Quarry Park
since it all started in 1994. They have given me stength when I
needed it. Sue is the mastermind behind the catering. Ivan has slaved
away on the course and is ensuring that the OB's, mandatories and
drop zones are clearly marked. They do lots of other stuff too.
Jesse
and Louise Denny
Jesse helped install the tee pads and produced the artwork for the
new tee signs. He is a regular at QP and will be in contention for
the Am final. Louise is putting together the tournament guide, I've
seen the draft and it's going to be 20 colour pages of awesomeness!
Louise will also be helping on the weekend.
Richard Hatton
Richard is making us a leaderboard. He is also coordinating transport.
Dan
Massey and Neil Halton
Have kindly offered to assist before and during the tournament.
Dan is coming up from Hampshire and Neil is travelling down from
Harrogate. Much appreciated guys!
Others
Lots of other people have, and will, chip in. It's all very much
appreciated. I should mention Sam Sharples, who is paid rather than
voluntary, but has been an enormous help in running Quarry Park
over the last year.
